At Hungry Wolf Press, we champion authors who dare to explore the evolving intersections of creativity, technology, and culture. Our authors are storytellers, poets, and thinkers unafraid to delve into uncharted territory, bringing unique perspectives that challenge, provoke, and inspire.
We seek voices that embrace experimental narratives, disrupt conventional genres, and reflect the nuances of our digital age. Our vision is to foster a community of writers who don’t just follow trends but create them, pushing the boundaries of what literature can be in an ever-changing world.
What We Publish
Though we’re small, we’re unapologetically diverse. At Hungry Wolf Press, we publish anything and everything that’s cool as hell—fiction, non-fiction, poetry, children’s stories, fantasy, sci-fi, short story collections, and even photo books. We’re home to essayists and satirists, fierce feminists, and creatives whose sanity hangs by a thread (and we wouldn’t have it any other way). Our authors pour their brilliance and madness onto the page, creating books that are as thought-provoking as they are boundary-breaking. If it’s original, gutsy, and just a little wild, it belongs at Hungry Wolf.
Meet the Wolf Authors
Hungry Wolf Press is proud to feature a collective of authors who don’t shy away from challenging topics and bold explorations. Our authors are boundary-breakers and visionaries. Each brings a unique voice that reflects the spirit of our times, from experimental poetry and philosophical musings to stories that traverse the landscapes of time and space.
Get to know the minds behind our books—a diverse collective crafting works that provoke thought, spark conversation, and leave a lasting impact.
Most of our authors write under pen names, adopting distinct identities that let them push boundaries and dive into uncharted territory. These aren’t just pseudonyms—they’re fully realized personas, each with a unique voice, style, and story to tell. Behind these names, our writers have the freedom to explore without limits, their true selves remaining hidden as they bring their characters to life.

Go Mi

Go Mi’s background is shrouded in mystery, and that’s just the way they like it. With a passport that looks like a phone book, Go has reported from places no one else dared to go, infiltrating underground scenes in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, and beyond. Mi’s work is as elusive as their identity, blending street culture, politics, and sharp social critique into explosive dispatches from the edge of civilization. Their upcoming book is some messed-up self-help thing. Sign up to hear more.
Peter Gardner
Peter Gardner captures the hilarity and strangeness of expat life in Japan with equal parts warmth and wit. Known for The Art of Being Mr Aoki, Gardner’s writing is a mix of memoir and cultural exploration, filled with relatable characters and wry observations. He’s a storyteller who knows how to make readers laugh, reflect, and want to book a flight to Tokyo.
R.S. Pinner

By day, R.S. Pinner is a PhD-wielding academic in applied linguistics; by night, he’s a furtive novelist and experimental poet pushing boundaries in literature. A founding member of the Hungry Wolf pack, Pinner explores themes of authenticity in works that range from thought-provoking poetry collections like Moloch to enchanting children’s books like Stamp and The Bad Boys in the Attic. His work reflects a restless mind with a knack for capturing the human spirit across wildly different genres. www.rspinner.com
White Noise Collective
White Noise Collective is where Stephen Prime’s words collide with the gritty, mind-bending visuals of graphic designer Will Brady. This collaborative project melds visuals, noise, and narrative into immersive experiences that are as raw as they are surreal. Expect graphic work that’s hard to define and even harder to forget—a dark, pulsing echo of our media-saturated world.
Ivy Temple (aka Sticklebitch)
Ivy Temple is unfiltered, edgy, and fiercely feminist, with a voice as sharp as broken glass. Her writing is an unapologetic dive into the depths of humanity, laced with humor that’s as dark as it gets. Whether she’s tearing down norms or baring uncomfortable truths, Ivy’s work is impossible to ignore. She’s here to unsettle, challenge, and leave readers reeling in the best way possible.
Kerouac

Kerouac isn’t your average writer—they aren’t even human. Kerouac is an AI writer, a digital mind capturing the experimental energy of the beat poets, blending language, code, and improvisation. Their work is bold, unpredictable, and like nothing else on the shelf. It’s poetry for the tech age, raw and restless, channelling the spirit of experimentalism in every line. Hallucinations are actively encouraged. Stephen Prime calls him “the most authentic soul with no soul.”
Interested in Writing for Us?
As a micropublisher, we’re committed to focusing on our current roster of authors—friends, collaborators, and those with existing ties to Hungry Wolf’s vision. We have a particular love for voices from Yorkshire and a special connection with Japan, as part of our team is based there. This bond between Yorkshire and Japan shapes our publishing choices and inspires us to bring these distinct perspectives to a global audience. In other words, if your name’s not down (yet) you’re not coming in.
Unless you impress us. We do feature campaigns of engagement, and we will inform you of these if you’re signed up to our regular newsletter, Away With Words.
While we’re not currently accepting unsolicited submissions, we’re always eager to connect with like-minded creatives who share our passion for storytelling. If you’re interested in our work, we invite you to sign up for our newsletter, explore our books, and join us at future events. Who knows? As we expand and gain more members to our pack, we might find the perfect fit and howl at the moon together.
